Our programs

We have been a place of authentic life change for thousands seeking hope in the midst of struggle and finding that hope in Jesus Christ.

Support group for women and mothers of defenders "Strong Together"

This is our common war!
And it is our shared responsibility to preserve respect, love and acceptance for people whose families have been affected by the war. We strive to create a circle of trust where mothers and wives of our defenders can share their special stories and be heard.
We are proud of their strength and courage, but we understand that they also need care and support.
Weekly meetings with a psychologist-moderator will help them to acquire skills of coping with stress, relaxation (psychological relief), resource search, and growth in stress resistance, and we want to give them an understanding of God’s love and security for them in the most difficult times.

"Journey to Freedom" groups

Our main and the biggest project, Journey to Freedom groups are where people can change their lives and start trusting God. An eight-week course led by trained facilitators, offering a safe and encouraging place for participants to step out of contemplating changes into real action. With honest dialogue directed towards laying a foundation for change, Journey to Freedom creates a common language so that all can share without fear of judgment.

  • Building resilience and hope

Our unique small group process and curriculum work together to address emotional needs, build resilience and hope, overcome unspoken loss and disappointment, cope with stress, and discover our inherent value.

  •  We change lives

Not many people in Ukraine have experience in participation in any small groups so this program is life changing for many of them.

  • Work in prisons

Courses are offered several times each year in our offices as well as via Zoom. We also run Journey to Freedom groups in Ukrainian prisons for men, women, and teenagers. This experience is special because God is working through these hard circumstances that brought them to prison. Even in a prison, they are given hope from God.

  • Sharing our stories

We have been a place of authentic life change for thousands seeking hope in the midst of struggle and finding that hope in Jesus Christ. Through sharing our stories together, we can transform our lives and communities.

"Choose life"

Our project aims to show the younger generation the possibility of healthy intersexual relationships, the value of abstaining from sexual contact in premarital relationships. Often, young people in Ukraine are limited in their knowledge of the elementary rules of safe relationships, not observing them in their families. In an interesting interactive form, a cycle of seminars is held, where we raise “inconvenient” topics:

  • Sex. Everyone is interested, everyone is talking about him. It concerns everyone.

We talk about the reasons why teenagers decide to have sex, about the benefits of abstinence. Not a ban, but an agreement to wait. Often, for the first time, children hear that God is the author of sexuality and sexual relationships, but at the same time, He also sets the boundaries of safety in His values.

  • Consequences

Teenage pregnancy in the vast majority of cases leads to abortion, disease, destroyed opportunities. We talk about the importance of understanding the consequences for both the girl and the guy, and the value of life that God gives. Our goal is to show the need for abstinence as a healthy choice in the physical and emotional spheres.

  • Overcoming pressure and setting standards

We teach them to articulate their personal boundaries and values, maintain composure and respect, recognize pressure and manipulation, and respond appropriately to make the right choice.

Student Club

Student Club is a safe place for students where they can talk deeply about problems and issues they are facing. It is a place where they can hear God’s call and build healthy relationships.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it”. Proverbs 22:6

  •  We form a youth development center

We create a team of young leaders who develop through interaction, learning, and creative projects. We understand the importance of communication, help and support.

  • Taking care of mental health during war

Psychological health specialists give lectures and workshops for our students. And students have the opportunity to get free psychological consultations.

  • It is important for us to develop the personality of each participant

Therefore, each student can try himself as a lecturer, share knowledge and experience with the audience and improve soft skills

  •  But the main goal is to introduce students to Jesus Christ

And each project of the student club is an opportunity to talk about the love and care of Christ, to pray, and to share faith. We hope the Student club will help them to meet God as their Savior, find answers to important questions, meet new friends and feel they are not alone.

  •  Nation Restoration

This project unites us around the value of Ukrainian culture, history and politics. Together  we are learning to take an active position in the development of our country.

"Journey to healthy living"

Our bodies are also important. This course is aimed at working with our perception of our body and a healthy lifestyle. It is divided into 2 parts – exercise and conversation in group with book discussion.

  • During the course, we deal with the questions:

How do I find balance in the weight loss race?
How do I not base my value on appearance?
How do I really see myself?
How do I maintain a healthy approach and consistency on the way to a healthy lifestyle?
How are bulimia and anorexia associated with a psychological condition?

  • We also share healthy recipes and try cooking different foods.

This brings the reality and possibilities to the group and of course, adds lots of fun!

English Club

Learning the English language is not just a fun group activity.  Knowing another language, and English in particular, can be the beginning of significant growth in the lives of Ukrainian youth and young adults.  With the ability to communicate in English, participants can have access to different jobs, more travel opportunities, and develop new relationships with other English speakers.

Our English Club meets once each we at our YDC Center for a stress-free session with a professional teacher who makes learning English fun and interesting.  Contact us today to learn how you can sponsor English Language Club for one day, one month, or for a whole year!
